Install your store

You receive an install zip and two key files separately (mariviq.key and mariviq-backup.pub). They are not inside the zip. Keep copies safe; if they are lost, encrypted payment and sign-in secrets on this store cannot be read again.

Put files on the server

1. Open the file manager and go to public_html (or your site root).
2. Upload the install zip and extract it. When finished you should see public, private, core, and a root .htaccess. If the extractor created an extra folder, move those items up and remove the empty folder.
3. Open private and upload mariviq.key and mariviq-backup.pub. Do not rename them and do not put them in public.
4. Create an empty MySQL database. Note the host (often localhost), port (often 3306), database name, username, and password.

Browser install

1. Open https://your-domain/install.
2. Fix anything the page lists (PHP version, extensions, .htaccess). Reload until checks pass.
3. Enter database details and the first admin name, email, and password.
4. Sign in at https://your-domain/admin.

An authenticator app is optional; you can add one later under Setup → Staff.

After install

• Send Mariviq the wrapped data key file from private/key-backup/ when they ask.
• Open Setup → System, confirm keys and backups look healthy, and take a test backup.
• Configure Setup → Mail and the cron jobs described there and on System.
