Order and payment status

Orders move through payment and fulfilment states:

  • Payment pending — UPI, bank transfer, or similar: customer placed the order; staff mark payment received before packing.
  • Paid / placed — Ready to pack when payment is confirmed (gateway or manual).
  • Packed — Ready to ship; does not send email by itself.
  • Shipped — Customer receives courier and tracking when configured.
  • Cancelled — Stock and held coupons return.

Gateway payments are verified by return URL and webhooks (signature checked). Staff can mark offline payments received from the order screen.

Email notifications fire on key steps (placed offline, payment received, shipped, cancelled). Mail failures do not block the order save.
